SELF-LEADERSHIP

Coaching That Recognizes Your Challenges and
Supports You to Actualize Your Potential

Women face unique challenges as they step into leadership positions and release conditioned behaviors. Our Women’s Self-Leadership coaching approach considers these unique challenges women face, taking a whole-personal approach to support your personal and professional development and well-being.

Observable and Measureable Results

“A coach is someone who tells you what you don’t want to hear, who helps you see what you don’t want to see, so you can become who you always knew you could be.” — Tom Landry

The Modern Woman's Journey

The modern woman is a life-long learner. She is ready to examine the layers of beliefs, fears, anger, trauma, and social rules built up to create a constrained box that controls her responses, actions, and decision-making. She recognizes that the seeds for conditioning were planted before her birth and reinforced through her culture, authority figures, and familial patterns.

As we untangle these conditioned behaviors, we can connect challenges with solutions, more fully experience our feminine consciousness, redirect the need for external approval towards an inner authority, have an inner marriage of opposites, feel connected to Life, and better integrate self-support.

THE INNER GLASS CEILING

Women's Self-Leadership Themes

You’ve heard of the glass ceiling – the pervasive resistance to the efforts of women and minorities to reach the top ranks of management in major corporations.

What if I told you that women also have an inner glass ceiling? An “unconscious template” that has been defined for us, by others, for generations. It has been passed down to us through our parents, teachers, and other authority figures within our cultures and socieities.

This unconscious template is encoded with what society thinks is possible, impossible, and what is taboo for women. It tells us what qualities are perceived to have value and which attributes should be discarded.

Here are a few women-centered topics we can address in coaching.

Self-Worth and Self-Confidence

Women often face societal pressures and expectations that can impact their self-worth and confidence, leading to self-doubt and feelings of inadequacy.

Imposter Syndrome

Many women struggle with imposter syndrome, a persistent fear of being exposed as a fraud despite their accomplishments, which can hinder their professional and personal growth.

Body Image and Self-Esteem

Societal beauty standards and unrealistic portrayals in media can contribute to body image issues and low self-esteem among women.

Balancing Multiple Roles

Juggling multiple roles and responsibilities, such as career, family, and personal life, can create inner challenges related to time management, prioritization, and feelings of guilt.

Assertiveness and Boundary Setting

Women sometimes struggle with assertiveness and setting boundaries due to societal expectations of being accommodating and nurturing, which can impact their ability to advocate for themselves and their needs.

Managing Emotions

Cultural and societal norms may influence how women express and manage their emotions, leading to challenges in navigating and communicating feelings effectively.

Fear of Failure

Fear of failure can hinder women from taking risks, pursuing new opportunities, and reaching their full potential, as they may worry about the consequences and societal judgment.

Inner Critic & Self-Comparison

Women may engage in self-critical thoughts and compare themselves to others, leading to feelings of insecurity, jealousy, and a negative self-perception.

Rediscovering Identity

Life transitions such as job loss, motherhood, career changes, or relationship shifts can prompt women to reassess and redefine their identities, which can be accompanied by inner challenges and uncertainties.

Self-Care and Prioritizing Needs

Women often prioritize the needs of others over their own, making it challenging to practice self-care and prioritize their own well-being.

Emotional Labor

Women are often expected to shoulder the burden of emotional labor, which includes managing and supporting the emotional needs of others. This can lead to emotional exhaustion and neglecting their own emotional well-being.

Fear of Judgment and Rejection

Women may experience a fear of judgment and rejection, which can prevent them from expressing their true selves, pursuing their goals, or taking risks.

As a Visual Journaler...

In 2015, I was looking for a way to manage the deep grief I experienced after my mom died. I have always been a visual person and began researching ways to combine visual elements with journaling.  This creative approach to processing grief has been healing, life-supporting, and life-changing.

Moreso, this practice awakened my creativity.  It is something that I continue to work with today and share with women who are interested in awakening their own creativity and taking an expansive approach to development. I call this approach THE VISUAL JOURNALER.  Learn more about The Visual Journaler here.

FAQ's

Coaching is commonly defined as a process to help improve a person's performance. It is a self-directed process that helps a person change in the way they wish to change. Coaching builds awareness, empowers choice, and leads to change.  The International Coach Federation defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.

You can begin by scheduling a 30-minute Introductory Call with Terri. Here you can discuss your goals and ask questions.  From there, Terri will send you the paperwork to sign up and access the coaching app.

A six month program is a comittment to yourself to work towards your goals.  Coaching is billed every month until the package you signed up for is paid off - it is not an indefinite recurring subscription.

Down the line, if you think coaching isn't working out for you, you should talk to Terri about your expectations and how they can best be met.

Coaching sessions can be rescheduled or cancelled with 24 hours notice. A session is considered missed with no refunds if you fail to reschedule or cancel outside the 24 hour period before your next session’s start time or you are more than 15 minutes late. If coaching isn't working out for you, we will refund 100% of sessions that you had paid for but not used. Your refund will be credited back to your original form of payment. Refunds take 5 - 7 business days to be processed. Past sessions or missed sessions are nonrefundable.
